Owned by Lauren Fitzgerald, Razor’s Edge Hair salon is a full-service barber and Hair-styling shop for men, women and children. Some services offered include custom hair styling, coloring, foiling, Golwell keratin treatments, facial waxing, buzz cuts and men’s facial grooming (beard/mustache trims)
Lauren came to work at the Razors Edge, located then at 45 Main St., in April of 1986. She bought the shop a year later and by 1989, Razor’s Edge began to quickly grow. That rapid growth required the business to move that year from it’s little spot downtown (now the Hopkinton Gourmet coffee shop) to a much larger space at the former Hopkinton High School building at 85 Main St., which was renovated and updated with new furniture and equipment. The shop underwent a second renovation in 2004. A third move and renovation to 42 Main street along with the 30 year anniversary of being in business in Hopkinton. When the pandemic hit in 2020 the salon was closed down for 10 weeks. While in lock down, Lauren’s clients started reaching out for her to come and do their hair at their homes. this was the start of her new business model. Razor’s Edge went mobile October 1st 2021.
In 2016, Lauren will celebrate 30 years of working in Hopkinton.
